  • Original watercolour painting, depicting an unmade path through a late-autumnal countrysidelandscape, by the English artist William Manners (1860-1930).
     
    William Manners was born in Bradford, then lived in Otley, West Yorkshire, before settling in The English Lake District. He was a self-taught artist who exhibited widely, including at The Royal Academy, London, The Royal Scottish Academy and The Walker Gallery, Liverpool, and in 1893 he was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists.

    - Framed, glazed and ready to hang, in a moulded gilt frame
    - Painting size 24cm x 17cm (approx. 9 1/2 inches x 6 3/4 inches)
    - Frame size 39cm x 33cm (approx. 15 3/8 inches x 13 inches)
    - The frame has some rubbing to the gilt in places, commensurate with age, otherwise both painting and frame are in excellent condition
