Original 20th Century watercolour painting depicting a view boats moored on the River Percuil in Cornwall, South west England, entitled 'Misty Dawn/River Percuiul', this atmospheric original work is by the English marine artist Terry Bailey (b.1941 ).
Terry Bailey was born in Manchester, and studied at Manchester College of Art. He initially worked in Advertising as a freelance illustrator. In 1970 he moved to Cornwall to focus on his painting, and his interest in sailing saw him shift towards Marine subjects. He went on to exhibit and build a successful professional career as an award-winning artist, and In 2011 he was chosen by the Federation of British Artists to exhibit at the Mall Galleries in London. Today his works feature in collections around the globe.- Signed lower right- Signed and titled on the mount by the artist- Framed, glazed, double-mounted and ready to hang, in moulded gilt frame- Painting size 45.5cm x 33cm (approx. 17 7/8 inches x 13 inches)- Overall frame size 67cm x 54.5cm (approx. 26 3/8 inches x 21 1/2 inches)
