- Large, bright and vibrant original oil painting on canvas, presented in a bold gallery frame, depicting a view of the skyline of Paris, France, with the classic Parisian architecture in the foreground, and the towers and spire of the Notre Dame Cathedral beyond. This fabulous original work is entitled 'Paris XIV' and is by the accomplished, contemporary British artist Stephen Collett (20th Century).Stephen Collett was brought up in Suffolk, where he used to get his parents to take him to local art galleries, and where he reportedly sold his first painting at the age of just 5 years old. He moved to Liverpool in his late teens to study architecture, which proved to be a huge influence in his works as a professional artist. He generally sketches one of his metropolitan scenes in situ over many days, before returning to his studio to create a superb cityscape.
