Stanley Orchart (1920-2005)
Large original watercolour painting, depicting a view of the village of Easton in Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, this origianl work was created in 1973 by the listed English artist Stanley Orchart (1920 -2005)
Stanley Orchart was born in Walthamstow, North London, but lived in Bedford from a very young age. While studying engineering at Leeds he attended classes at Leeds School of Art, and after an initial career in the oil industry, he became a full-time artist in 1959. He held many solo exhibitions of his work and was in high demand for his commissions. His work was acquired by HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Earl Spencer and appears in private and public collections around the world.
