Superb original mixed media artwork on board, depicting popstar Madonna in the guise of Johannes Vermeer's 'Girl with the Pearl Earring'. This original work, which also features other smaller images of Madonna, is entitled 'Material Girl', and is by the quirky contemporary pop artist, and urban artist, Srinjoy (b.1986 ).

Srinjoy Gangopadhyay was born in Kolkata, India, and studied at The Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, and The Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta, Georgia. He initially worked in the design and animation industry, under the tutelage of many renowned street, and pop artists, and in 2014 was selected as Curatorial Assistant for a prestigious New York art exhibition, which was highly influential in his career and featured such internationally acclaimed artists as Ai Wei Wei. He has exhibited at major galleries and exhibitions globally and featured in distinguished art industry publications, and his work features in private collections across the World. Galleries.
