Striking original mixed media (Gouache and Tempera) painting depicting a man flying a kite, viewed from below and behind, this dynamic, impressionistic work is entitled 'The Person with the Air Balloon 1' (literal translation), was created in the year 2000, and is by the contemporary Armenian artist Arman Vahanyan (b.1978).
Arman Vahanyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and studied at the Yerevan Panos Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts and the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. He worked as Head of printing at the Yerevan National Centre of Aesthetics, illustrated campaigns for The Red Cross, and American University of Armenia amongst others, and is a printmaker and painter.
