This original work is entitled 'Harbour Study' and is by the British artist Peter Toms (b.1940 ).- Signed lower leftPeter Toms trained & qualified as an engineer, a career that saw him involved in many design & research projects at home & abroad. He moved to Dorset in 1969, and has always been interested in the sea & ships, and painted as a hobby which led him to be a professional artist. He specialises in maritime subjects, and also portrays landscapes in their various moods & seasons. He is an exhibited artist who has had many one-man shows, and his works feature in many private collections.- Original artist's label verso
