- Original oil on canvas painting, depicting a path and clearing on a sunny day in an autumnal forest, this fine-detailed original work was created in 2003 by the listed British artist Neil Spilman (b.1951 )Neil Spilman was born in Hemingbrough in Yorkshire, and on leaving school worked as a Shipwright/Loftsman, while painting in his spare time. He is an entirely self-taught artist who, in 1977, realised his dream and turned his natural talent into his profession by becoming a full-time artist. He initially worked on portraits and then later Landscapes and Wildlife in which he was able to develop his love for detail combined with the impression of strong light on the scenery.
