Neil Simone (b.1947 )
Original oil painting on board, depicting a surreal, fantasy scene, with an empty jug and jug of flowers on a cloth covered table, three fish swimming past the table, and an extensive landscape beyond. This quirky original work is by the British artist Neil Simone (b.1947 ), and is a classic example of his dream-like themed paintings.
Neil Simone was born in London, and studied basic graphic art and design at school. In 1969 he visited Harrogate and discovered the majestic scenery of North Yorkshire, he was so inspired by the town and it’s surroundings that he had moved there two years later. His distinctive works have been exhibited world wide in many leading galleries, and they fuse fact with visionary fantasy to create a world that is wonderfully ambiguous and always open to interpretation.
