Large original oil painting on board depicting a young woman kneeling on a large bed, with a headboard adorned with white roses, This beautiful, atmospheric original work is entitled 'Kneeling Nude White Roses', and is by the multi award-winning British figurative artist Michael Alford (b.1958 ).

Michael Robert Patrick Alford was born in Cookham, Berkshire, and was introduced to art by his father, who taught him to draw at an early age. Following a period in the Royal Marines, he took a degree in Spanish and Arabic at Durham University, then travelled and sketched his way through South America and the Middle East. He later studied at the Slade and Chelsea schools of art before turning to art as a profession. He has since been an official British Military War Artist on three occasions, was a semi-finalist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2017, has exhibited widely in the UK, the USA and Europe, and today his works feature in private, public and corporate collections around the World.
