Original oil painting on canvas depicting a view of 'Malaspina Strait' in British Columbia, Canada, by the highly regarded, listed Canadian artist Karl Emile Wood (1944-1990), whom was was born in the city of Winnipeg, in the province of Manitoba, Canada and turned to painting as a profession in 1964.
This painting comes with its original invoice/proof of provenance, it was purchased, along with a second painting by the same artist, in 1980 from a Canadian gallery, and was taken to Geneva, Switzerland where the purchaser lived- Signed lower left- Original gallery label verso- Comes with its original invoice- Framed and ready to hang, in its original moulded gilt period frame, with a wide linen covered inset and narrow moulded white slip- Painting size 25.5cm x 20cm (approx. 10 inches x 8 inches)- Overall frame size 42cm x 37cm (approx. 16 1/2 inches x 14 1/2 inches)
