£1,250.00Price
  • Large original oil painting on canvasdepicting a fisherman, in an atmospheric countryside landscape, fly-fishing in a river, and landing what looks like a Brown Trout river fish. This fabulous, original work is by the British country life artist John Trickett (b.1953 ).

Born in Sheffield, John Trickett grew up in Cleethorpes.  On leaving school, while training as an accountant, he became a professional footballer with Torquay United, before later turning to painting full-time. Totally self-taught, the Shooting Times acclaimed him 'The Greatest Painter of Black Labradors in England if not the world' and it was a Black Labrador painting that won him the Silver Award at the International Animal Painters Exhibition in France in 1992.  His work has been exhibited all over the world and many of his limited edition prints are sold out.
