New, still in cellophane, large, extremely rare (one of only 50 limited editions ever produced) limited edition fine art giclee print on paper on board, depicting the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (b.1953 ) in 2009. The image is entitled simply 'Tony Blair', and is by the renowned, award-winning, Royal photographer John Swannell (b.1946 ).
John Swannell was born in London, and started work as an assistant at Vogue Studios, then assisted iconic photographer David Bailey for four years, before setting up his own studio, where he worked for magazines such as Vogue, Harpers & Queen, The Sunday Times and Tatler. In 1993 he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, and a year later was personally commissioned by Princess Diana to photograph her together with her sons. He was commissioned to take numerous official photographs of The Royal Family, including the Queen Mother's 100th birthday and Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, and he has become synonymous for his portrait photographs of the Royal family, as well as numerous A-list celebrities.
