Very large original oil painting on canvas depicting a view of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with the beautiful Valley Gardens in the foreground, and the spectacular architecture of The Royal Baths beyond. This fabulous original centrepiece painting is by the prize winning, Cumbrian based artist John Sibson.

 

John Sibson grew up in the north of England, and initially worked in mining and minerals, before focusing on art as a profession. He developed his style in watercolours, then gained an appreciation for oils and acrylics after studying at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. A member, and Chair, of The Yorkshire Watercolour Society, his paintings, which are often reproduced as limited edition prints, depict the English countryside, historic towns and fishing ports. He has exhibited widely, including at The prestigious Mall galleries in London, The Royal Society of Marine Artists and The Houses of Parliament, and is also involved in tuition.
