- Original fine-detailed gouache painting, of 3 small chicks foraging amongst spring flowers, by the British wildlife artist Daphne Baxter (1928-2019).Daphne Baxter studied art at The Hornsey School of Art, and initially worked as a commercial artist in London. Following her marriage, she moved to Suffolk where her interest in wildlife and birds was born, then a later move to Hertfordshire saw her surrounded by a large garden and woodlands, which gave her the opportunity to study and paint birds and animals in their natural environment. Her work has been exhibited in a number of prestigious galleries, including The Mall Galleries, London, and have been widely published both in the UK and abroad.
