Colin Woolf was born in 1956 and is a self-taught artist who initially worked in a Design Studio by day, while producing book illustrations, for the likes of Readers Digest, Collins, BBC and Ladybird etc. in the evenings. He became a full-time professional artist in 1982, selling direct to the public and through select galleries, including Malcolm Innes and the Mall Galleries, London.  Best known for his lifelike paintings and drawings of birds and other wildlife, he also perfected the Victorian technique of painting with a Woodcock's pin feather. Having established a reputation as one of the UK’s leading wildlife artists, his work is sought after, and features in collections worldwide.
