Superb original oil painting on board depicting a view of Admiralty Arch, from the Trafalgar Square side leading to The Mall, in the centre of London, on a beautiful summer's day. This work is entitled 'Admiralty Arch', and is by Charles Rowbotham, one of Britain's most exciting young contemporary artists.
Charles Rowbotham painted from childhood, having two highly successful artists as parents, and dreamt of becoming an artist himself, but knew achieving this ambition would be difficult and so studied Architecture at university. Upon graduating, he found he disliked working for a large firm, and continued to develop his painting skills in his spare time. The excitement of selling his first painting led him to put together a small exhibition, which sold out, and convinced him that there was a career for him in art, so he rented out a studio and began to develop his ideas. His work reflects his his observations of city life, and the interaction of people in and around cafes, bars and theatres. He has now held many successful exhibitions and is represented by the prestigious Clarendon Fine Art and Whitewall Galleries.- Signed by the artist lower right- Original 'DeMontfort Fine Art/Clarendon Fine Art' unique, identifying barcoded Label verso- Beautifully framed and ready to hang, in a bold, gilt-trimmed, off-white gallery frame, with a white moulded slip- Painting size 43cm x 30cm (approx. 17 inches x 11 3/4 inches)- Frame size 63cm x 49cm (approx. 24 3/4 inches x 19 1/4 inches)- Both painting and frame are in excellent condition- Excellent investment - Charles Rowbotham is represented by Clarendon Fine Art where works of this size are on sale for £1525- All paintings are carefully packaged to prevent damage during shipping- Please contact us for European and Worldwide shipping prices- If you have any questions about this item, please contact us and we will respond within an hour
