Original oil painting on board depicting a view of the interior of Ripley Mill, by the English artist Arthur Wright Newsholme (b.1859).

Arthur Wright Newsholme was born in Bradford, and painted as a secondary occupation, his main work being in the textile industry, specialising in dyes and materials, this would explains why many of his paintings feature mills, factories and other links to the industry. He spent much of his life in Baildon, West Yorkshire, where he was a member of the Yorkshire Union of Artists and took part in local exhibitions.

- Framed, float-mounted and ready to hang in a bold, distressed-bronze-coloured, moulded frame
- Painting size 22.5cm x 20cm (approx. 8 7/8 inches x 7 7/8 inches)

- The painting has some very minor scuffing to the outside edges and apexes of the board, otherwise it is in excellent condition
- The frame has some minor nibbles to the outer apexes of the corners, otherwise it is in excellent condition
