Large, extremely rare, limited edition linocut print in colours, depicting a stylised figure of a woman holding a bird on a branch,, this quirky vibrant work is entitled 'Bird in Summer', and is by the renowned, award-winning, Australian-born artist Anita Klein (b.1960 ).
Anita Klein was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to England aged 11. She studied at The Chelsea School of Art and The Slade School of Art, and was elected Associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1992, a Fellow in 1995, and evetually President in 2003. She is considered one of Britain’s finest and best loved artists, regularly featuring in the national press, and with works in many public collections including the British Museum and Arts Council of England, she has also exhibited widely across Britain, Europe, America and Australia including at the The Royal Academy in London.
