Original oil painting on board, depicting a winter view in the snow-covered Washburn Valley in North Yorkshire.  This atmospheric original painting is by the listed Yorkshire artist Angus Rands (1922-1985).

Angus Bernard Rands was born in Ilkley in West Yorkshire, he had no formal art training, and instead studied pharmacy, and worked as a business representative, before becoming a full-time artist in 1960.  He was best known for his landscape paintings of Yorkshire and the North of England, and exhibited widely, including at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London, as well as contributing to a number of art magazine.
