- Large original watercolour painting, depicting a view of 'Simon's Seat' on the edge of Wharfedale, in The Yorkshire Dales, with sheep grazing near a farmhouse in the foreground, and the peak that is 'Simons Seat', dominating the background. This bright and uplifting original work was painted in 1967, and is by the Yorkshire artist Angus Rands (1922-1985).Angus Bernard Rands was born in Ilkley in West Yorkshire, he had no formal art training, and instead studied pharmacy, and worked as a business representative, before becoming a full-time artist in 1960.
