This tranquil original work is entitled 'The Water Meadows', and is by the acclaimed English landscape artist Alan Ingham (1932-2002), this is a rare opportunity to own an original work by this celebrated artist.Alan Ingham was born in Skipton, Yorkshire, and was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth where he rose through the Navy ranks to become a Lieutenant Commander. In 1965 he left the Navy and became a lecturer in his specialist field of hydrography. In the 1970s he finally emerged as a painter and exhibited his work at some notable venues, including the Mall Galleries in London. His was in such demand that he published his original work as limited edition prints, and by 1980 he was focusing all of his attentions on painting.
